A certain European royal is a big fan of fancy bling, like the Amour de la Mer, for their pup.
In Hollywood, the holidays are a season of indulgence, and celebrities' pets are no exception.
Topping the wish list of pampered pooches everywhere is the $899,000 ostrich leather dog collar from I Love Dogs Diamonds. "The Amour de la Mer features a stunning 8.5 carat sapphire pendant, which is reminiscent of the depth and beauty of the ocean," I Love Dogs, Inc. general manager Martha Smith told FOXNews.com. "The pendant, which is surrounded by small diamonds, hangs from a collar that has five larger diamonds arranged in a floral pattern."
The Amour de la Mer, whose total weight is 31.48 carats, took its inspiration from the late Diana, Princess of Wales' engagement ring. "Of course, the ring is now worn by Princess Kate," explained Smith. "With the royal wedding, Kate's become such a fashion icon and people are looking for their dogs to have a royal, regal theme as well."
Smith can't name her famous clients, but reveals that a European dignitary is having her dogs outfitted with the luxe collar. "It's not Kate Middleton," declared Smith. "The client is a princess from Europe who is looking for some very special collars for her very small dogs."

"Susan uses genuine upholstery-grade Ultrasuede, which is also used in high end yachts, private jets, and luxury automobiles," John Grieco, owner of GW Little explains. "Then she adds hundreds of real Swarovski crystals, all done by hand here in the USA. When light hits this carrier it throws off so much bling you'll need sunglasses!"
The harness retails for $80, while the carrier purse will set you back $1300.
Some celebrities like Mandy Moore, Zach Braff and Quincy Jones are a little more practical when it comes to outfitting their four-legged friends for the holidays. "In Southern California–and everywhere, really–pets and their owners have to be prepared for a sudden emergency," Christal Smith, president of Emergency Kits 4 All, told FOXNews.com. "We have emergency kits for dogs and cats that has everything they need for the first 72 hours."
The kit for dogs is $85 and comes with a first-aid kit, food, water–and even has a plush squeaky toy to distract poor Fido during a crisis. "We know that pets are like members of the family, so we also have an evacuation muzzle so that dogs will be allowed into most shelters."
It's been proven that dogs can be therapeutic companions during a time of crisis, and no one knows that better than David Frie, author of "Angel on a Leash."
"When a dog wags his tail, it is connected to his heart," said John O'Hurley in the book's foreword. "When David tells these stories of the dogs he has known and the good that they've done, they are connected to his."
O'Hurley and Frie are kicking off the holiday season with NBC's National Dog Show on Thanksgiving. "It's a two-hour entertainment show that's really built for the holiday," Frie told FOXNews.com. "Multiple generations are gathered around the TV set, watching the dogs compete as they wait for the turkey to come out of the oven."
