Fine Swiss manufacture IWC Schaffhausen has announced its partnership with this year's grueling Volvo Ocean Race, a major highlight of the yachting calendar and often billed as the Everest of sailing. As part of the collaboration, IWC will serve as sponsor and official timekeeper of the nine-month race, which will see competing teams traversing 39,270 nautical miles of the globe’s most treacherous seas.
Yachting and horological enthusiasts will be excited to know that during the upcoming Sanya, Hainan stopover, IWC will be hosting a Hong Kong-based competition that will grant winners exclusive, behind-the-scenes access to one of the world’s greatest sporting events.

To enter, participants must answer correctly a question about IWC. Each participant who correctly answers the question will go into a draw to win two round trip flights to Sanya; hotel accommodations, including airport and hotel ground transportation; an IWC Portuguese Yacht Club Chronograph in stainless steel; and a VIP visit to meet-and-greet with the team.
