On the cover of Empire's latest issue, we get our first look at Batman (Christian Bale) and Bane (Tom Hardy) in The Dark Knight Rises. Batman is wielding some sort of light ... thing, while we have to admit it's nice to see a more official version of Bane versus all the set photos that aren't positioning him in the proper badass fashion (complete with ominous lighting and acne.
Check out both images below and click to enlarge. Expect more photos this week ahead of the new trailer and special IMAX prologue in front of Mission Impossible - Ghost Protocol this December. The Dark Knight Rises hits theaters on July 20th, 2012.
